2010 Promotion

For 2010 I will be giving away the design schematics portion of home designs to all clients who sign a cost plus "Building Agreement" with me for the construction of their new estate. This promotion applies to the entire Lower Peninsula of Michigan.

Services Included in the promotion:

The client, after signing a cost plus “Building Agreement”, and making their deposit on that Agreement, will receive their first design schematic free of charge. This includes two client interviews, the execution of my Predesign Questionnaire, which is a booklet used to solidify what the client’s needs and desires for their residence are by prompting them through a series of questions, and the first design sketches for the floor plans and the front elevation.

This represents a minimum value of $5,000.00 with a range to $15,000.00 dependent upon the size and detail of the residence.

Note: The promotion also applies to an extensive remodeling of an existing residence in the same region with the exception that there will be an hourly professional service fee charged for the detailed measuring, photographing and inspection of the existing residence prior to design schematics being started.

Services Not Included in the promotion:

Soil exploration, structural engineering, design drawings for the side and rear elevations, drafting of dimensioned working drawings for construction, printing fees, a product specifications booklet for the construction of the residence, submission to municipalities for plan review and approvals, payment of municipal fees, bonds, land use fees and permits, tree permits, erosion permits or building permits.

These services are provided under the remaining Professional Services Agreement and Building Agreement following design schematic approval, and additional deposit.

Should the client not go forward with the Building Agreement, for any reason, within six months of signing the Building Agreement and the start of the design schematics there will be a fee due to the designer for the original design schematics.
